RULES

FIVE-A-SIDE SOCCER RULES
Four players plus a Goalkeeper may be on the field at one time.
No Tackling a player from behind. This will result in a free-kick.
No bicycle or scissor kicks allowed. This will be deemed as dangerous play and an agreed kick will be awarded to the opposition.
The ball cannot be played if the player is off their feet.
No slide tackling. No form of sliding will be permitted.
No two-on-one tackles
Defenders may enter their own goal area but may not play the ball in the goal area.
Attacking players may enter the opposing goal area.
No throw-ins.
No offsides.
Players with red cards miss two games.
Players with two yellow cards miss one game.

GOALKEEPERS
The Goalkeeper may not pick the ball up from a direct pass.
The Goalkeeper may only handle the ball in the demarcated goal area.
The Goalkeeper may score a goal from their own goal area
If the Goalkeeper comes outside his goal area – he or she becomes an infield player and those rules apply.

FREE KICKS
Indirect kicks – the opposition player(s) must be a minimum of 2 meters away from the ball.
The player taking the free-kick has 5 seconds.
The Player must shoot for a goal direction. The player must indicate to the referee that they are kicking direct. If the free-kick is in the attacking half then all the defenders must clear a path for the kick.
A Player cannot pass the ball to himself and continue with play. He must pass it to a teammate.

LEAGUES
Games are 20-minutes. 2x 10-minutes with a 2-minute interval
